About this module

This course focuses on the Building Safety Act including the reason for its introduction, timetable for implementation and, in particular, its implications for architects and the risks of failure to comply. The module also looks in detail at the 2023 updates to the Act.

Key topics include the gateway process, the ‘Golden Thread, the Regulator’s role, the Defective Premises Act (DPA), the Building Act (BA), Building Liability Orders (BLO), contribution claims and obligations relating to the registration of high-risk buildings.
