  • How we see colour and how the Dulux notation system is aligned with this
  • The Dulux notation system and codes
  • The language your client uses to describe colour, and how understanding this leads to better conversations
  • The difference between warm and cool colours and how these affect the perception of a space
  • Simple and effective colour scheming tips that you and your clients can always rely on
  • The difference between advancing and receding colours

About this module

This module introduces the principles of colour theory and their practical use in design. Using the artist’s colour wheel and Dulux fandeck, learners will explore how colours interact, discover methods for creating harmonious palettes, and gain the skills needed to confidently specify colour on projects.
