With over 26 years of experience in the colour and design industry, Martha began her journey at AkzoNobel, Dulux as a retail Colour Designer, helping homeowners bring colour into their living spaces. Her passion for design and colour soon led Martha to transition into the role of Commercial Colour Services Operations Manager and Commercial Designer, where for the past 23 years she specialised in creating tailored design solutions and bespoke colour collateral for commercial clients. Martha’s role has also included curating the Dulux and Dulux Trade colour palettes for literature, training and mentoring, delivering CPDs and Colour Expert sessions to clients, as well as sharing her knowledge as a tutor at the Dulux Academy.

Martha’s work is rooted in a deep understanding of building practices, industry legislation, and inclusive design principles, particularly for individuals living with neurodiversity such as dementia and autism. She’s contributed to AkzoNobel’s research and development of biophilic design principles, ensuring that colour solutions are not only visually impactful but also support wellbeing. Martha delivers targeted, sector-specific colour strategies to specifiers across a wide range of sectors, from healthcare and education to social care, new house build, offices, and retail, ensuring every design supports functionality, emotional connection and inclusive design.
