About
Jonathan Lowy has more than 20 years’ experience with VMZINC. Having held both technical and sales roles across three countries, he has developed a strong understanding of market requirements and the technical capabilities of zinc as a roofing and cladding material. Jonathan has also been closely involved in technical certification processes, including Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), BBA certification and fire testing.
Drawing on this expertise, he has contributed to the development of technical literature for both architects and installers. Before joining VMZINC, Jonathan worked as a land surveyor in Paris, where he spent a considerable amount of time on the city’s iconic zinc rooftops. He graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 1990 with a degree in Construction Management.

VMZINC® has been manufacturing a wide range of rolled zinc products used primarily for building envelopes since 1837.
In addition to batten cap and standing seam roof systems, products include rainwater systems, a wide range of cladding systems, including a number of rainscreen façade products. Since its creation the company has also produced decorative roofing products such as dormers, bull’s eyes, weather vanes, finials and balustrades.
